Squads is a comprehensive squad training programme that prepares swimmers for competition at all levels or for those just wanting to maintain fitness. The squad levels focus on maintaining advanced technique, whilst giving swimmers the opportunity to develop their own competition skills.
Junior Squad is for swimmers to develop all four competitive strokes, turns and starts. To improve endurance and speed and to learn and develop racing skills. Opportunity to join the Churchie Swim Club. Interclub and specific race meets are available for members of this squad.
Intermediate, Senior and Advanced Squads is a non-competitive fitness squad designed for swimmers aged between 12 - 18 years of age who wish to maintain a healthy active lifestyle and enjoyment whilst further developing their technique of all strokes. Swimmers in Squad also have the opportunity throughout the term to develop their skills for their school swimming carnival.
Adult Swim Squad
Adult swim squad sessions cater for swimmers who wish to improve their fitness, skills and stroke technique while working towards long term goals.
Monday 7.30am -8.40am
Tuesday 6pm - 7pm
Wednesday 7.30am - 8.45am
Thursday 6pm - 7pm
Development Squad is an accelerated squad programme into our first level competitive squad.
Development Squad is designed for our young swimmers who would like to take their swimming to the competition level, increase their competitive skills.
If you would like to improve your racing skills, have fun, be the very best swimmer that you can be and compete for the Churchie Swim Club at carnivals and our own Race Nights then this is the perfect squad for you!
Competition Squad to continue stroke and skill development in order to progress swimmers aged 10 – 12 years to a Metropolitan and Queensland State Championship level qualification in 50m and 100m events.
Silver and Gold Squads is a continual development in strokes and skills to qualify swimmers aged 13 years and over to State, National and Open National level in multiple events. Swimmers in these squads are expected to make a full commitment to their training.
